What are the Causes of Gastric Problems in Stomach? Gastric problem or stomach gas is a common problem among middle-aged people. But due to eating habits and life-style changes young-age group and even little kids are prone to gastric problems and discomfort. It’s common for anyone to have little gas in their stomach and eliminate it by belching or releasing through rectum. This is the side-effect of digestion process and healthy indeed.

But what turns it into gastric problem is when there is excessive gas formation in stomach and serious discomfort, pain and cramps. The discomfort does extend to constant burping and releasing foul gas.

Any disturbance or inflammation in this Gastric Mucosa will leads to acid secretion which is a major cause for gas formation in stomach.

3. Food

What you eat determines your health. Food plays key role when it comes to gastric problems. Certain foods are gassy in nature. If you are continuously prone to gas formation after eating a particular food, then avoid such gassy foods like plaque to keep away gas problem and discomfort. Beans, potatoes, onions, wheat, dairy, junk and high-sugary foods are some to mention.

4. Antibiotics

Another possible reason for gas problem is antibiotics. Though Antibiotics are recommended for bacterial infections it has negative effects too. It not only kills harmful bacteria but also the good one that aids digestion. Moreover it is also said to destroy pathogenic bacteria which gives protection against diseases too.

5. Chronic Health Conditions

Gastric problems may also occur due to some Chronic Health Conditions. Health conditions such as Gastro-esophageal reflux, peptic ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, lactose & gluten intolerance may leads to excess gas formation in the stomach. If you have any of those health conditions then seeking proper medical care will help you keep gastric problems in check.

So these are some of the basic causes for gastric problems in stomach. Sure enough there may be other factors that trigger gas formation but making changes in your lifestyle and eating habits will mostly solve stomach gas problem.

Exercising four days a week, having small but frequent meals, including fiber rich foods in your diet, chewing thoroughly, drinking adequate water and not to mention quit smoking and drinking will all help you to avoid gastric problems and its pain and unease.
